Durham Arts Council presents

Mini Arts Camp

  • $38-$240/wk

These camps are designed for students' ages 5 to 13 years and offer flexible daily or weekly enrollment. Students are divided into age appropriate groups and participate in both visual and performing arts activities that are inspired by a theme. DAC provides a fresh fruit snack. If your camper has food allergies to fruit, please pack a snack. Please pack your campers a brown bag lunch (no refrigerator or microwave available). Camp runs from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Drop-off begins at 8:00 AM. For a full day program, add the Afternoon Adventures program, which runs from 3:00 - 5:30 PM. Durham - Past, Present and Future June 8, 11-15, July 2-3, 5-6 (No Camp July 4), August 13-17, August 20-24 Durham has a rich history dating back to before the 1800's when it was home to the Eno and Occaneechi Native American tribes. Over time plantations were established and soon mills and large corporations began to develop. Educational institutions were also established with Durham being home to the first publically supported liberal arts college for African Americans. Durham continues to grow and is now home to the largest university-related research park and the most recognizable minor league baseball team in the nation.
